Middle School Reading Teacher (Grades 6-8)
* Plan and deliver engaging reading instruction aligned with state standards for grades 6-8.
* Teach reading comprehension, vocabulary, fluency, phonics, and critical thinking skills.
* Differentiate instruction to meet the academic needs of diverse learners, including ESE, ESOL, and struggling readers.
* Use assessment data to identify student strengths and areas for improvement.
* Administer and analyze diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments.
* Develop intervention plans and provide small-group or individualized reading support.
* Incorporate technology and interactive learning strategies into daily instruction.
* Maintain accurate student records, grades, and progress monitoring documentation.
* Collaborate with teachers, administrators, counselors, and parents to support student achievement.
* Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and academic concerns.
* Create a positive, safe, and structured classroom learning environment.
* Encourage student engagement through literature discussions, writing activities, and independent reading.
* Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school improvement initiatives.
* Monitor student behavior and implement classroom management strategies effectively.
* Support school-wide literacy initiatives and promote a culture of reading throughout the school.
* Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and enrichment activities.
* Ensure compliance with district, state, and school policies and procedures.
