Responsible for performing detailed testing procedures, repairs, modifications, preventative maintenance, and final testing of electrical equipment for the Underwater Target department of the AUTEC Facility.

- Responsible for performing detailed testing procedures, repairs, modifications, preventative maintenance, and final testing of electrical equipment for the Underwater Target department of the AUTEC Facility.
- Performs detailed testing procedures to diagnose causes of equipment malfunction.
- Disassembles components and traces circuit continuity through stages of equipment.
- Repairs circuit wiring and replaces faulty components as required.
- Performs authorized modifications, preventative maintenance, and final testing of equipment under supervision.
- Installs tracking systems in direct accord with NAVSEA specifications and guidelines.
- Prepare and issue EMATT's
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Five (5) years electronics technology experience.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite products, with an emphasis on word processing.
- Digital analog troubleshooting skills required. MK-30 Target Theory of Operations and Crane Operators Overhead Cat 3 certifications preferred.
- Lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds of material or equipment.
- Climb long flights of stairs and ladders at sea.
- Pass a yearly physical as required.
- Analytically proficient in both mechanical and electronic arenas.
- Analytical skills to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems.
- Detail oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Familiar with office equipment, such as fax machine and photocopier.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel programs.
- Must be able to reside in remote location with limited medical facilities.
- Valid Driver's License and passport will be required.
