The Clinical Services Supervisor is primarily responsible for successful coordination, management and overall operation of the agency's Mental Health, Wellness and Social Services programs, grants and staff. The position will implement our Mental Health, Wellness and Social Services programs for our children, families, siblings, residents, and staff, as well as supervise staff who provide these services. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the delivery of high-quality mental health services and maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Required

Minimum Master of Social Work degree from a school accredited by the Council of Social Work Education and be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a minimum of three to five years' experience. Proficiency in clinical documentation and familiarity with electronic health records.

Preferred

Minimum of 3-5 years' experience working with medically complex and developmentally disabled children.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises Social Workers and Mental Health Staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving programs.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Strong management, leadership and communication skills.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Experience executing contract requirements.

Experience with managing program.

Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and Creole is a plus.

Excellent interpersonal skills and professional email/phone etiquette with families and staff.

Ability to multi-task and to work effectively as a team member and in time sensitive situations.

Self-starter with initiative and creativity to develop new ways to meet client and program needs.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Previously worked in a healthcare facility, has a medical background, or Non-Profit experience.

Experience with handicapped population, Pediatric experience preferred and knowledge of local resources a plus.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid Florida Driver's License

A Confidentiality Agreement is required and must be signed upon commencement of service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
  1. Manage multiple contracts with program funders (Broward County, Children's Services Council) to ensure full utilization including all required reports and other timely requirements.
  2. Conduct all hiring, employee evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  3. Supervise Mental Health and Wellness program services and staff in accordance with model fidelity, including screening and acceptance of appropriate BSO referrals.
  4. Conduct regular team and individual meetings (monthly, quarterly, and annually as required) with all staff and programs.
  5. Meet with other department Administrators with shared staff, such as Nursing Home Administrator, regarding aspects of staff supervision.
  6. Provide Mental Health and Wellness services to individuals, couples, families, siblings and staff.
  7. Conduct psychosocial assessments and program intakes for clients.
  8. Facilitate the overall development and implementation of a comprehensive, individualized plan of treatment in conjunction with other treatment team members.
  9. Incorporate the patient's psychosocial functioning and strengths in the plan of care.
  10. Formulate a treatment plan with the client, using knowledge of risk factors and counseling and treatment techniques.
  11. Provide and/or arrange for therapeutic interventions as appropriate for patients or clients in a crisis situation.
  12. Prepare and maintain reports and case histories.
  13. Provide support and services to families, individuals and staff who require assistance.
  14. Participate in the review of clinical issues and program policies and procedures.
  15. Responsible for preparing and monitoring monthly and annual program budgets.
  16. Responsible for successful internal audits and external audits by funders.
  17. Gather and track client data for programmatic outcomes, demographics and reporting.
  18. Assist as needed with writing programmatic portions of funding proposals and grants.
  19. Regular Quality Assurance of all programs' staff documentation and client paperwork to ensure charts are complete and in compliance.
  20. Report all suspected abuse/neglect to the appropriate authorities as needed.
  21. Participate in training and seminars as needed throughout the year.
  22. Assist with any community inquiries on all agency services, client referrals to community resources, and represent the programs overseen as needed.
  23. Supervision, task management and instruction of social work interns.
  24. Other duties as assigned.
