Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel

The Omni Ft. Lauderdale Hotel is a 29-story hotel, located at 1950 Eisenhower Blvd, and connected directly to the Broward County Convention. The property offers 801 guest rooms and suites, multiple restaurants, a vibrant rooftop bar, a sprawling pool, spa, and fitness center. The hotel has over 120,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, including a grand ballroom, junior ballroom, 25 breakout rooms and pre-function meeting space with waterfront views.

JOB PURPOSE: To clean and maintain the flooring throughout the hotel, in accordance with Omni Standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Operate and maintain Misc. floor care equipment.

• Ensure all public space areas, furniture, and floors are cleaned and well maintained.

• Shampoo and spot clean all hotel carpeted / furniture areas.

• Shampoo lobby and public area carpets / furniture.

• Shampoo all guestroom and hallway carpets / furniture

• Reporting all damages to carpeted / furniture areas.

• Strip and wax floors as needed

• Polish floors as needed

• Responsible for rotation of throw rugs and floor mats throughout the property.

• Proper documentation of scheduled cleaning cycles is important.

• Any cleaning projects assigned by the leaders of the department

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, specifically weekends and holidays.

• Previous housekeeping experience preferred (hotel preferred, although other environmental services positions will be considered).

• Strong attention to detail required.

• Good communication, time management, follow-through, and customer services skills are required.

• Must be able to work around a variety of chemicals and be able to respond to hazardous situations

ENVIRONMENT & POSITION ANALYSIS:

• Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 75 pounds without assistance. Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Requires repetitive motion.
