The Equity Middle Office Analyst will work closely with traders, sales teams, and external counterparties to monitor and resolve trade discrepancies, manage settlement processes, and support a variety of equity-related products. The Equity Middle Office Analyst will work closely with traders, sales teams, and external counterparties to monitor and resolve trade discrepancies, manage settlement processes, and support a variety of equity-related products. Responsibilities
- Assist with front-to-back trade processing, including trade breaks, allocations, and settlement inquiries.
- Collaborate with traders, sales, and counterparties to ensure accurate trade capture and timely discrepancy resolution.
- Monitor daily equity, ETF, and options activity across domestic and international markets.
- Support operational tasks related to ADR conversions, preferred securities, DMA, and FX transactions.
- Participate in DTC/NSCC settlement processing and work with clearing teams to resolve exceptions.
- Gain exposure to corporate actions and assess their impact on equity positions.
- Contribute to process-improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and reducing operational risk.
- Provide ad-hoc analytical support to trading desks and management as needed.
- Maintain documentation of workflows and exception handling procedures.
- Develop proficiency in relevant trading and operations systems, such as Fidessa.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated interest in equity markets, trading, and financial operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with trading or operations platforms is a plus.
- Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to problem resolution.
- Basic understanding of settlement cycles and market conventions.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
